Irodion (Herod Atticus) located at the foot of Athens is a famous open air theatre in Athens. People enjoy different philharmonic performances, dances, ballets, operas and concerts taking place at Irodion from the end of May until the end of September.
Epidavrus is also another popular open air theatre of the city. Sophocles, Euripides and Aristophanes were staged on this platform earlier.
The National Theatre includes five theatres, The Central Theatre, The New Theatre, The Katina Paxinou Children’s Theatre, The Katina Paxinou Children’s Theatre and The Experimental Theatre – Actors’ Workshop – Empty Space.
